Sources, methods & corrections

Policy reviewed

College Baseball Schedule organizes source records into searchable schedules and team archives. The useful part is the comparison: separate calendar years, inspect roster composition, compare two teams’ dates, and see which details still need confirmation.

What the 2027 schedule browser covers

The national browser includes 1665 named fixture entries from 48 reporting programs in a directory of 309 programs. Those figures count reporting-team entries. If both schools report one game, that game can appear twice. The imported source checks range from 2026-10-07 to 2026-10-11.

The source season and the date of a game are different fields. A source headed “2027” can contain a fall date from another calendar year. We include only dates in calendar year 2027 in the national fixture browser and retain the other dates in the team’s archive.

How a source becomes a page

  1. Keep the publisher visible. Each dataset retains its source URL, source-season label and the date that snapshot was checked. Follow the publisher’s link to see later changes.
  2. Preserve uncertainty. An unknown start time stays unknown. A league name, tournament stage or winner-to-be-determined entry is displayed as a notice rather than a confirmed opposing school.
  3. Separate results from fixtures. A score must have a readable result and a game date that has arrived. Winner-first score conventions are normalized only where the source convention has been verified; unclear numeric scores are not guessed.
  4. Calculate from the visible records. Schedule totals describe imported entries. Roster breakdowns count the first recognizable roster table and keep combined position labels together. They do not estimate future lineups or player eligibility.
  5. Keep short listings together. A few source entries are more useful beside the team’s other information. Currently 25 short schedule snapshots are included on their team overviews. Staff and statistics summaries with limited records follow the same approach.

Worked example: comparing dates

Suppose Team A lists Friday and Saturday games while Team B lists Saturday and Sunday games. A comparison of all listed dates has three dates; the “both teams” filter has one. This shows overlap in the imported records. It does not establish that Friday is a day off for Team B, or that Saturday’s games occur at compatible times.

The home-game filter uses the reporting team’s home designation. It does not turn a neutral-site game into a home game based on proximity. If a source omits the designation, the entry does not pass the home-game filter.

Before traveling, compare the school’s latest schedule with the saved entry. Confirm the exact date, first-pitch time and stated time zone, venue, and any change announcement. A CSV is a copy of the selected records; it is not a ticket, live feed or confirmation from an event organizer.

Maintenance record

October 16, 2026 — presentation and coverage review
Added a date comparison tool, roster breakdowns, short-listing integration and this explanation of the source methods. Source datasets retain their existing check dates; this interface review is not a new verification of every game or staff appointment.
October 15, 2026 — directory and source handling
Reviewed saved conference affiliations, separated conditional events from named matchups, and added directory continuation pages and source-row exports. Conference pages identify the references used for that review.

The site does not promise daily source checks or live scoring. A later source update requires a new review and a new checked date for the affected dataset. Building the website again does not change the original source check.

Corrections and accountability

A useful correction identifies the team page, the affected record, its displayed value and a newer published source. We compare those fields before changing a saved record, preserve the original source reference where relevant, and describe the scope of the change.

A public message-delivery channel has not been configured in this build. The contact page states the available options; it does not claim that a report was delivered when it was not.

Independence and advertising

This is an independent information site. Schools, conferences and the NCAA do not operate or endorse it. Advertising areas are separate from the source links, schedule controls and downloads. An advertisement is not a recommendation by a team or a verification of a fixture.

Source links are included to let readers inspect the underlying record. They are not a claim that the complete imported national directory has been independently reverified today.
